Laem Din Market The Had Chaweng 3 Road is about one km long and runs between Chaweng Beach Road and the island main ring road south of the lake. The beach end of this road starts directly opposite the road entrance to 'Princess Village Resort' on Chaweng Beach Road. Open air food market half way along the road, is a great place to buy inexpensive fresh fruit and for viewing 'eye candy' when local Thai men - gay and straight - shop on their way home from about 5 pm onwards.

Full Moon Party About 10,000 Western and Thai people travel the short boat trip from Bophut, Samui to Koh Phangan for the world famous Full Moon party. Held every month on the night of the full moon this straight Western dominated, extremely loud, heavy drinking all night party attracts a lot of Western and Thai gay men and women who usually head for the gay friendly 'Boon Bar'.
