Chaweng Beach Take the Soi Sala Koy side Road (opp Family Mart Store at intersection of road leading to Laemdin Market) off Chaweng Beach Road down to this popular place for local Thai families and young people in the early evening to swim, relax and have dinner on the beach purchased from beach vendors. Gay Thai guys often go there, often in groups from about 5 pm.

Volley Ball On the beach in front 'OP Bungalows', Central Chaweng. Walk through the grounds of the 'Muang Samui Resort and Spa' then turn left continued ... at the beach. Gay Thai guys and ladyboy volley ball teams play on the beach each evening 5- 6 PM. Gay Thai and expats go to watch the serious but fun game.

Tesco Lotus Supermarket and Big C Malls Located on the island main ring road behind Chaweng and beyond the lake both are large supermarkets and shopping mall complexes including food hall and Major Cineplex movie theatres (Tesco Mall). Like all malls these are great place for people watching.
