Square Area
• 250 sq km (100 sq miles) - Thailand's 3rd largest island. Singapore is 268 sq miles.
Location
• 35 km northeast of Surat Thani town (9°N, 100°E). Off the East Coast of the Isthmus of Kra in the Gulf of Thailand/Siam.
Samui Island Group
• Consists of approximately 60 islands many of which fall within the Angthong National Maritime Park. Around Samui the main islands are Koh Phangan (12km north) Koh Tao (55km north) Koh Nangyuan (64km north) Ang Thong Islands (27km north west).
